Every woman deserves a doula.

I trained with Nurturing Birth which is one of the leading Doula training organisations and recognised by Doula UK

Gaining in depth knowledge in:

  • Birth Physiology
  • Optimal Foetal Positioning (OFP)
  • Pain Relief / Coping Strategies
  • Postnatal topics such as breastfeeding and post birth recovery

I am a qualified Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and have attended the UNICEF breastfeeding training course.

I have trained with Real Baby Milk and am now a qualified Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. I run a very popular Breastfeeding Group every Tuesday in Truro where mums can access support if needed or just come along and meet other breastfeeding mums.

I am qualified as an Antenatal Breastfeeding Peer Supporter with Real Baby Milk.

I attended a UNICEF one day Breastfeeding Training Day in June 2010 at The Knowledge Spa, Truro.

I attended a Breastfeeding Study Day with Dr Jack Newman in Hertfordshire organised by Doula UK.

I am currently training to become a KEEs Birth Preparation Teacher furthering my knowledge and understanding of labour and birth and how couples can achieve a joyous birth.

I am a qualified Baby Massage teacher having trained in London with Peter Walker.

I attended Teaching Active Birth training in London with Janet Balaskas.

I work at RCHT (Treliske) on the bank staff as a Maternity Support Worker in Delivery Suite and Wheal Fortune, asHealth Care Assistant at The Hub and Gynaecology Clinics and also as a Phlebotomist in Fetal Medicines.

I have supported women having their babies in hospital, home and Birthing Centres.

I have experience of multiple births both as a Birth Doula and as a Postnatal Doula.

I have supported an elective caesarean section.
